Since our conception in 2000, Blue Carrot Catering has become one of Wellington's foremost corporate catering companies through commitment, experience, love of food, creative flair and the dedication of the entire team.
Blue Carrot Catering is owner operated, working out of a large modern commercial kitchen in Petone, and employ twenty full time staff.
We successfully cater for any size and style of event, including, but not restricted to, cocktail functions, formal dinners, product launches, corporate conferences, wedding catering, anniversaries and birthday parties both in and around the Wellington region. In addition to event catering we also provide an extensive drop off catering service for both corporate catering and private function catering.
We pride ourselves on our attention to detail, punctual and reliable deliveries, ease of contact, great service and our sincere desire to provide fantastic food at an affordable price. We ensure that all our food is attractively presented, using only fresh ingredients.
Gordon & Nicole - Owners
Nicole and Gordon established Blue Carrot in 2000. Gordon comes from a sales and marketing background, while Nicole has worked in the hospitality industry for over twenty five years. Both Nicole and Gordon work in the business, overseeing the day to day running of the company and making sure that Blue Carrot's excellent reputation for quality food and service is always maintained.
Nicole and Gordon have produced two young blue carrots, aged eleven and fourteen - their best creation yet!
Adrian - Head Chef
British born Adrian Hornsby has spent the last twenty-one years travelling the world, cooking many different cuisines and working with many top chefs that have led to his passion for food. He has run many kitchens and collected a repertoire of great dishes and skills which he is pleased to bring to the team at Blue Carrot over the past eight years. This is a passion that Adrian and his talented team are sharing together and one that makes Adrian happy to call Blue Carrot/New Zealand home.
Blue Carrot Catering has a talented team of nineteen full time staff as well as part time staff. Our staff are the key to our business being successful. They are proud of the food they create, and have a passion for great tasting and good quality food. We work as a team to ensure that Blue Carrot Catering remains one of Wellington's top caterers. We also upskill our staff by inviting other professional bakers or chefs to run private workshops. We hold staff training courses for our front of house staff.
